The team at Cornerstone are sharing their New Year’s resolutions. Yes, yes we’ve heard of New year, new me. The same of clichès: eat better, drink less and exercise more.
But by mid-January for many of us the Jamie Oliver cookbook from Mum still remains unopened, the running app unused, and we’re still tucking into chocolate after bulk buying discount selection boxes in the January sales.
But even as the number of fluorescent clad joggers circling the local park dwindles day by day, at Cornerstone HQ, we’re a hardy and resilient bunch. So here are our New Year’s Resolutions for 2016, enjoy:
Oliver, Founder:
“Watch less ITVBe and increase the depth of my chino collection – I can’t keep relying on the same two pairs.”
Helene, Customer Service:
“Send one handwritten card, note or letter to a different person every week of 2016.”
Lucy, Customer Service:
“Buy and eat more really good cheese. Also train to run 10k, so I can run between home and the Cornerstone office – that way I can hopefully counteract all the cheese.”
Caspar, Marketing:
“This year I want to go travelling somewhere really cool like South Asia. It would also be great to learn how to make beer and grow my own chillies.”
Isida, Marketing: “Learn to speak Italian and brush-up on my French – I should really make more use of having a native Frenchy in the team! I’d love to meditate daily and start cooking more.”
Danny, Copywriter: “My resolution for 2016 is to save up enough money to buy a giant Velcro wall, and I plan on sticking to it…That and learn how to poach eggs properly.”
Steve, Marketing: “Read a book a week, run 1000km and to ease myself off watching tripple D*
*that’s Diners, Drive-in & Dives”
