The Ultimate BBQ

The Simple Things...
It’s safe to say we are in full BBQ territory now, but if you’ve struggled to get the time to grab the right ingredients and get everything prepared for the perfect summer BBQ, we’re here to help- or rather our friends at Meat Porter are!

Meat Porter was founded on the idea that you shouldn’t need to travel to Mayfair or Soho in London to be able to taste the best-tasting meat. Their meat is sourced from traditional, British producers and placing an order with them only takes a few minutes and you are delivered fresh, good quality meat the next day. And let’s be honest, a BBQ is all about good quality fresh meat, and one or two bottles of beer whilst attending to the sizzling barbecue.

So what does the Meat Porter BBQ Box contain I hear you ask. To put it shortly, it has everything you need for the perfect summer BBQ- sausages, burgers, steak, chicken and pork belly strips. A pretty great selection, right? If you’re gluten intolerant or simply on a health kick though fear not as they even have a gluten-free BBQ box option, so everyone’s a winner!

Now you’ve got the good quality meat, you might need some recipe ideas to spice up your BBQ party. We love the Perfect Piri-Piri Marinade recipe on Meat Porter’s website. It’s really quick and easy to make, just make sure you have the following ingredients:

Birdseye
Chilis- Use 3 if you want a milder marinade, and 5 if you like it super-spicy!

2 large bell peppers (red or green varieties work best!)
The Juice of 2 limes
4 tablespoons paprika
1 teaspoon red chilli powder
3 teaspoons of salt
2 tablespoons oregano
1.5 cups of oil
8 tablespoons of red wine vinegar
2 teaspoons of freshly ground black pepper
5 cloves of garlic

All you need to do is simply blend all the above ingredients in a food mixer and voila, you’ll have a smooth, mouth-watering marinade. Just make sure to cover
the chicken in a generous amount of the marinade and you’re ready to barbecue.
If this doesn’t suit your taste-buds, why not try out the Garlic Aioli or The Meat Porters Bag-It-Up BBQ Marinade?

Now chaps, you have no excuse not to have a BBQ this weekend!
