#WednesdayWoes: Choosing the Right Eye Cream

There used to be a time when we only needed moisturiser- that would be the most a man would stretch to. Nowadays we’ve got to contend with moisturisers, SPF cream and eye cream. Now most of you may view the latter as an option, but we’ve come to look at it differently.

You see if you’re prone to late nights, be it from a boozy session down the pub or putting in the hours at work, your face will be the first place to show it. In fact, the delicate skin around your eyes will be the first to suffer from your late nights, making you look older than your years.

So if you’re looking to combat this, a good place to start would be to use eye cream. It’s either that or reducing the number of late nights- we think the former might be easier. But how do you go about picking the right eye cream?

The first thing is deciding on what you want to target- dryness and wrinkles, or dark circles and puffiness? If it’s a cream or balm it’s best for tackling dryness and wrinkles as they tend to have a thicker and richer consistency. If you’re opting for a gel or serum you’ll want to use these for dark circles or puffiness- the lighter texture is great for cooling and de-puffing the delicate skin around your eyes. For added efficacy try storing your eye creams in the fridge.

We, here at Cornerstone, are fans of the following products:
