#WednesdayWoes: Maintaining the Stubble

Although we here at Cornerstone shave nearly every day, we do understand that you chaps may not. We’re seeing and hearing that the end is nigh for the beard, but the stubble seems to be staying put for now. Some guys prefer to maintain a little facial hair and that’s perfectly fine, but it does take some work to keep it looking good.

To maintain a clean, trimmed stubble start off by using a face scrub for a deep clean which will help eliminate ingrown hairs as well as lift the facial hair- crucial for the next step.

Once you’ve prepped your skin, you will need to wet shave the upper cheeks and lower neck area- this will keep your facial hair in check and give some shape to your stubble. We recommend using our razor to do this. The blades on this razor are super sharp meaning fewer cuts (very important) and coupled with the use of the face scrub beforehand, it will give you a close, smooth shave, leaving no stray hairs where you don’t want them to be!

However, we’d watch out if you’re using shave foam. This won’t allow you to see where you’re shaving exactly, so we would advise using a shave gel instead. Shave gel is more transparent so you can see where you’re shaving- before it’s too late and you end up with a wonky stubble!

Finish off your routine with some post shave balm or moisturiser and you’re set to go.
