Whether you’re at home or jetting off to warmer climes such as paradisiac island Ibiza, make sure you’ve got the perfect cocktail at hand. We’re not going to pretend we’re expert mixologists, we’re better at tasting rather than concocting, but our friends at Fever-Tree showed us how. By using only tonic water as a mixer, you can make some great refreshing summer cocktails all in under five minutes; perfect for when you’re entertaining or simply feeling a little thirsty.
The newest addition to the Fever-Tree range, Aromatic tonic is inspired by a historic recipe used by the Royal Navy in the 19th Century. Using the highest quality angostura bark sourced from South America, the aromatic flavour complements bold juniper-rich gins for a modern twist on the quintessentially British “Pink Gin”.
What you’ll need: 200ml Fever-Tree Aromatic Tonic Water, 50ml Juniper-heavy Gin (we’d recommend Plymouth Gin, Navy Strength for the brave), a slice of orange and a sprig of mint.
Method: Fill a glass with stacks of ice, and pour the premium Gin. Top up with Fever-Tree Aromatic Tonic Water and garnish with a slice of orange and sprig of mint. NB: Don’t forget to clap the mint between your hands to activate the essential oils.
NAUGHTY ST. CLEMENTS
A twist on the classic non-alcoholic cocktail. A refreshing citrus blend of orange and lemons is the perfect Summer tipple.
What you’ll need: 50ml Premium Vodka (we’d recommend Chase), 20ml Grand Marnier, 100ml Fever-Tree Lemon Tonic Water, 100ml fresh orange juice and a lemon wheel
Method: Fill a glass with stacks of ice, and pour the premium vodka and Grand Marnier. Top up with equal measures Fever-Tree Lemon Tonic Water & fresh orange juice and stir. Garnish with a lemon wheel.
ULTIMATE V&T – the king of summer cocktails
A twist on the classic Vodka & Tonic, this drink is made using Fever-Tree’s Mediterranean Tonic Water. The delicate floral flavours of lemon thyme and fresh citrus balances the gentle bitterness of the natural quinine. The perfect combination for your favourite vodka.
What you’ll need: 50ml of premium Vodka (we’d recommend Belvedere), 200ml Fever-Tree Mediterranean Tonic Water, sprig of rosemary and an orange wheel.
Method: Fill a glass with stacks of ice, and pour premium vodka. Top up with Fever-Tree Mediterranean Tonic Water and garnish with a sprig of rosemary & orange wheel.
