In-grown hairs are a very common annoyance and one of the most common shaving complaints. If not dealt with properly, they can lead to bigger problems – your razor can easily catch on the raised skin causing nicks and cuts.
Here’s our quick and easy guide to help you with this pesky problem.
Prevention
Never shave against the grain as this cuts the hair too short and encourages it to grow back under the surface.
Cure
Use a good quality, microbead-free face scrub. Using a face scrub is a great way of not only giving your pores a deep clean, but the grains in the scrub also release the in-grown hairs by gently lifting away dead skin cells. If you reach out for the tweezers, remember to use them only for releasing the hair under the skin, not for pulling it out!
Result
You’ll be left with silky smooth skin with no in-grown hairs in sight, ready for a close, comfortable shave.
